About Roger Campbell, Sr.
I've spent more than four decades working inside organizations, leading people, building operations, solving problems, and watching how businesses actually function. Over those years, I began to recognize something that doesn't always show up on an organizational chart, in a procedure manual, or in a succession plan.
Some of the most valuable knowledge inside a company lives with the people who have been there long enough to understand not only what to do, but why things work the way they do.
They remember the decisions that shaped the organization. They know the customers and vendors. They recognize problems before they become obvious. They understand which shortcuts are dangerous and which workarounds keep things moving. And when something unusual happens, they're often the people everyone else turns to.
That experience has value. I call it Experience Capital. The challenge is that organizations don't always recognize how much they depend on that Experience Capital until the person carrying it is no longer there. That's what led me to develop The Experience Advantage Program.
The work is built around a straightforward idea: Find it. Understand the exposure. Preserve what matters.
My role isn't to come into an organization and create Experience Capital. Your people have already spent years building it.
My role is to make it visible.
Once leadership can see where critical experience resides and where too much organizational capability may depend on too few people, it can make better decisions about what needs to be preserved. Because people will eventually move on.
The experience they've built doesn't have to leave with them.
